I used the travel site to book a trip to Miami. My friend and I had been searching Travelocity, Expedia, Sidestep and Kayak. We were searching for  a package deal combination flight and hotel. Each search produced packages  that were reasonably priced from $750 to $1,400. We knew that although
those prices were 'good' we still couldn't afford to take a last minute trip in that price range.
 
My mom told me that she had done some searches on the TVI site and that  there were pretty good prices so I asked if I could take a look. The next day I logged on and found the site very easy to navigate. There is a link  that says "customize travel" I clicked that link and performed a search just as I would on any internet travel site. I entered the departure and  arrival cities along with the travel dates and clicked 'search.' There are several ways to customize the search but I decided to keep it simple.
 
The search engine worked pretty quickly and produced very pleasing results. I found that the TVI search pulled up the same packages as the other travel websites but at prices up to 50% lower. We ended up picking a package that included roundtrip airfare from San Francisco to Miami and Hotel for 4 nights 3 days in a 3-star hotel for $456. The same package on Travelocity was $735. I would say that we got a great deal! We leave for Miami on Thursday, Sept. 3rd. I will make sure to let you all know how it goes.

Here is my daughter follow up about her trip...

As you all know my friend and I booked a trip to Miami using TVI's travel search engines, which in itself was impressive but I thought that I would send out an update on how our trip went.

We were so excited about our trip that we decided to check-in on our flight the day before we were scheduled to leave. I logged on to American Airlines website, entered my confirmation number and proceeded to check-in; just as I would if I had booked a flight on Expedia, Travelocity, Hotwire, Priceline, etc. We were also given a choice of where we wanted to sit on the plane which was unexpected but welcomed.

The next day we flew to Miami with out any problems and arrived at our hotel. The property was very well decorated, clean and the staff was professional and so nice. It was exactly what the reviews on TVI's site had said. There were no surprises.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I definitely plan on using TVI to book my next trip.
